DIY Carbon Rods

How to get free carbon rods.

Here I show you how to get free carbon rods for your home science experiments. Just remember to take all necessary safety precautions if you intend on doing this yourself.

These DIY carbon rods will need to be cleaned before use, as they will have a coating of (mostly) Manganese Dioxide on them.

I don't know the exact quality of the carbon rods or how they would compare to commercially bought ones, but it seems worth giving them a go.
